Thanks to LunaTagz formally known as Flashbrite, I was given 3 packages of their reflective stickers to review here on Frugal and Fun Mom.
Made with genuine 3M Scotchlite reflective material, according to LunaTagz these reflective stickers were created to help protect individuals and pets from nighttime drivers. These stick-on patches adhere to a variety of surfaces including hats, shoes, bags, costumes, backpacks and more, and are designed to safely reflect light from over 1,000 feet away.
Since the days are getting shorter, and play time and sports go later into the evening, it gets harder and harder to see children at play. Plus, with Halloween in a few weeks there will be plenty of kiddos out way past dark. LunaTagz can definitely aid in the safety of children during this time of year.
I decided to experiment with the LunaTagz Halloween Tagz and adhere them to my sons Trick or Treat Jack O’ Lantern and to the back of this Captain America hat from the previous year’s Halloween Costume. Attaching these stickers was really easy, I simply peeled the backing off and placed them onto the items.
I then took my son out for a test. I first shined a flash light and then used the flash from my camera to see the reflection. However, the real test was whether or not it would reflect a car’s headlights.
My son and I hung the Jack O’ Lantern on the light post and we went for a ride around the neighborhood. When we came around the corner we saw the LunaTagz reflection. This of course struck up a whole conversation about reflection and we had to go around the neighborhood a couple more times. We also looked at the reflective numbers on mailboxes and discussed the moon reflecting the sun’s light, I’m sure my neighbors wondered what we were up to.
I got out of the car and took a picture without the flash this time.
I am so excited to be able to use this innovative product this Halloween and my kids are even more excited to put them on their costumes. This Halloween my kids are going to have an extra bit of protection, and I am going to have a bit more peace of mind!
